Our students can choose from six fields of study, taking classes of their choice.
Anime
Integrated study of animation production techniques and business.
From professionals in Japanese anime industry, students can learn a variety of skills and technologies used in actual anime production. Students can comprehensively learn about anime as a business, through classes on scenario writing, dramatization, and production theories from directors, and producers, perspectives.
CG
Learn 3D computer graphics essential to the production of games and anime.
Three-dimensional computer graphics (3-D CG) is an essential technology used in films, anime, and video games. At Digital Hollywood University, students can learn about 3DCG, starting with the basics. Related classes help students produce sophisticated animation and gaming images. Students can also learn about VFX and other live-action synthesis technologies used in movies.
Film
Learn a wide range of technologies, including live-action filming and video production theories.
Students can learn a variety of technologies used in Japanese film industry, from planning to scriptwriting, live-action filming, and postproduction editing. Students can also comprehensively learn about the processes whereby films are produced, from production to broadcasting and publication. We aim to train students as professionals, raging from directors and filmmakers to producers.
Web
Gain comprehensive skills ranging from Web design to production.
Students can gain skills in areas ranging from layout and image creation to systems used in building Web sites. They can learn about the tasks of Web designers, directors, and producers using practical exercises on the computer as well as via case studies.
Students can also learn about cell-phone content being uniquely developed in Japan.
Graphic Design
Familiarize yourselves with related software, production technologies, and design theories.
Students can learn a wide range of topics, from the use of layout or illustration software and photo processing software to design theories. They can acquire a full range of skills, including creative skills that are most important for designers, effective techniques used to visually depict concepts, and related production technologies.
IT Programming
Develop skills necessary for computer system management.
Students can learn technologies and theories necessary for computer system management, including network technologies utilized in Japan, computer languages, and programming technologies. Familiarity with these will be of help in 3DCG production and website development as well.
