Digital Hollywood University is composed of a single department and school, offering six areas of study. We employ a curriculum in which students can learn about digital technologies and business theories. Students can either choose to focus on a field of their professional interest, or learn multiple fields. Our instructors are professionals in each field, ensuring that students have access to practical business strategies as well as the latest technologies in the related fields.

Features of the Curriculum

  1. We offer six fields of study: anime, CG, games, films, Web sites, and IT.

Students can take classes of their choice from the six fields. They can focus on a single field or learn multiple fields (e.g., anime and CG).

  2. Instructors are professionals in the areas of students' interests.

Students can not only learn from teachers with academic backgrounds but also from professionals working such fields as anime, CG, film, Web, IT, and graphic design. Students can, for example, learn directly from an instructor who was involved in the production of a well-known anime work, and learn about practical skills.

  3. Career development is possible while engaging in school course work.

Digital Hollywood University has strong ties with companies both inside and outside Japan. Internships and corporate trainings are available for our students.
They can thus build connections with companies while still engaging in their course work.

  4. We offer a graduate program for more advanced studies as well.

Digital Hollywood University also offers a professional level graduate program where students can learn Japanese entertainment industry and IT industry at a more advanced level. The program offers a practical curriculum to help students acquire the skills they will need to thrive in Japanese content business.
