Undergraduate Admission Requirements (Excerpt)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Individuals who meet any of the following criteria by March of the year of admission are eligible to apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. High School Graduates or equivalent<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Applicants must have graduated from high school or a middle school that offers a 12-year educational program.
    \n For applicants who have completed a program shorter than 12 years, they must also complete a designated preparatory education program or a course at a training facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    1. Holders of a student visa<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Applicants must possess a student visa defined by the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act to be eligible for admission.
      Applicants who wish to enroll with a status of residence other than “Student” (e.g., family stay, permanent resident) are required to contact the University Admissions Office in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Japanese Language Proficiency<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Applicants must have passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N2 level, obtained a score of 220 or above on the Japanese Language Examination for Japanese University Admission (EJU), or possess an equivalent level of Japanese language ability.
        \n Submission of JLPT or EJU certificates is not required at the time of application. Applicants can apply if they have a Japanese language ability equivalent to JLPT N2 or EJU 220.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Admissions Policy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        In order to nurture creative individuals who can contribute to the international community, Digital Hollywood University accepts a wide range of people from Japan and abroad who share the spirit of “Entertainment. It’s everything!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        In addition, we welcome the following people as students<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        People who are willing to contribute to human society through the use of digital communication
        \n People who respect what others have created
        \n People who are willing to make decisions according to their own conscience
        \n People who respect different cultures as a global citizen, and who are willing to engage with the international community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        For this reason, in addition to academic achievements up to high school, the university selects applicants based on the following factors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Creative activities that the applicant has engaged in and the results of such activities
        \n Knowledges gained through extensive exposure to digital contents
        \n Experiences gained through interactions with others, such as in club activities
        \n Experiences in actively using a language other than their mother tongue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Laptop PC\/Software
        \n Laptop PC (Windows or Mac) and security software are required upon enrollment.
        \n Student licenses for Microsoft 365 and Adobe Creative Cloud (from April 2024) are available while in school.
        \n Successful applicants will be informed of special discounts on university-recommended PCs and software.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

        Scholarships and Tuition Deduction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        Honor scholarships<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        From the Comprehensive Selection [Honor scholarships], particularly outstanding students will be selected as honor scholarship students. Tuition fees will be reduced or exempted according to the results of the entrance examination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Scholarships for General selections<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        Students with the highest grades are selected as scholarship students from among those who have passed the General selection. Tuition will be reduced or exempted according to the results of the entrance examination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Tuition Reductions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        This is a system to reduce or exempt tuition fees for students who are unable to use the educational loans affiliated with the university due to a sudden change in family finances or other financial difficulties during their enrollment. The amount of the tuition reduction will be determined based on the family’s financial situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        ASEAN scholarships<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        This is a tuition reduction and exemption system for privately-funded international students from ASEAN countries who meet certain criteria. Eligibility is determined based on the results of the entrance examination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
